We were so thankful to spend a long weekend at the farms this past weekend. Our weekends are often shortened with Steve's unique schedule of working on Sunday. We went down to celebrate Papa Southards' 85th birthday. We were able to spend time with both sets of Steve's grandparents at their farms. Payton is at the age where she is really enjoying the freedom of the wide open space and the animals.

Miss Serious

Feeding Cricket - Payton kept calling her a baby goat because she hasn't seen a cow so small

Not too sure about it

She loved the horses but didn't want to ride them, safe behind the fence

It was so sweet, Granny Coats wanted to read to Payton and she sat and listened for a long time.

Her only request of the weekend was to drive the tractor with her daddy

4 generations of Southards men

Aunt Brenda with Buster

Perfect morning to sit on the porch enjoying a cup of coffee. The farms are so peaceful

There was a lot more family in town, I didn't get pictures of everyone. Payton loved playing with her cousin Eden. She has been talking about her non-stop since she got home. We are so thankful that even though we don't live in the same town as family, they are within driving distance.

Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!
